I use a long shaft on mine and while I've never had a short shaft on it I would think this is the correct one to use . I can't think of an advantage to a short shaft
YUP, 20" shaft will keep the prop, and most important, the cavitation plate,(for the water pump impeller), in the water. Don't believe the guy if he say's the 16" standard shaft will be OK.
We are looking at the tohatsu sail pro. It comes with a 20" or 25" long shaft. Do you think 20 is good? If I don't have to spend the extra money on the 25, I won't. Thanks
by the way don i was able to fit a new jib halyard to the mast and made a gin pole. i think the boomvang should work up front. im assuming that the forestay is attached to the forward most mounting hole (theres three on my capri) thanks fellas
