Before heading offshore I would like to install locks like the new Hunters have on my cabinets. If I made a jig, drilling the hole might not be much of a problem.
This may not be what you are looking for but on my boat, all the cabinet doors were always opening during windy sailing so we put (el)shaped cup holders on the outside of all doors and simply turn them a quarter of a turn to lock them when sailing (found a lowes)
