I’m looking for info on where I can find a holding tank that will fit in my 99 Beneteau 36CC head locker. Currently I have a Raritan Lectrasan system installed in the head locker; I’d like to replace it with a holding tank until I get out into salt water. There is another 36cc in my marina that has a factory installed tank in the locker, see attached pic, but I’ve had no luck finding it online. I’m a relatively new owner; I’ve tried to contact Beneteau US a while back about another issue and was frustratingly unsuccessful so I’m a little gun shy of call them again,,,,Any suggestions where on where I should look?

Ronco Plastics Ronco Plastics marine Tanks (no relation to the VegoMatic Ronco) is your best source for a tank. They make TOP quality thick-walled water and waste tanks for a very reasonable price and has more than 400 shapes and sizes, over 100 of which are non-rectangular, and they install fittings in the sizes and locations specified by the customer when they make the tank.

However, although you're on inland waters, you happen to be in waters that are part of the inland river system, in which the discharge of treated waste is legal...so you can continue to use your Lectra/San. And, there's a simple inexpensive solution to the need to feed it salt: Pick up bag of solar salt from any hardware store (it dissolves a lot faster than table salt or even Kosher salt, plus it's a lot cheaper). The bag will be bigger than you want to keep on the boat, so you'll need a 1 gallon or larger--the biggest container you can keep in the head and coffee measure scoop. Adding two coffee scoops of the salt to each flush is all that's needed to keep your Lectra/San happy.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll look into Ronco and also rethink keeping the Lectra/San. It’s just been a little temperamental in fresh water and the brine tank doesn’t seem to keep the salinity at the right level.

Brine tanks can be a little iffy if all the salt hasn't dissolved and has settled to the bottom. Solar salt added to each flush is a LOT more reliable.
If you do decide to go with a tank, I'll be glad help you work out where to put it (the hanging locker may or may not be the best place) and how to plumb it to prevent problems. Meanwhile, you'll find a lot of good info about how to install and maintain a tank if you have to if you click on the link in my signature...and a little elf told me that sbo is having a big time sale on signed (by me!) copies...and a whole bunch of other useful stuff!
