As I promised, here are some of the locations of equipment in my H22. You will see the depth finder mounts, the VHF, The stereo, and A picture of the microwave. Let me know what you all think. I am also putting in a few other pictures of the boat.

Picture #3, Starboard side

I put two hammocks into the boat behind the back rest. These are great places to store things!

Pretty clever use of the space

Hard to tell from the picture (#1) but the black box below the VHF seems to be on an arm? Is that the depthfinder and does it swing out to make it viewable from the cockpit? If so, could you clue us in as to the make and model or describe it if it is a DIY project? I can't believe all the stuff you've managed to get in there and yet it doesn't look cramped. I have an H240 and the interior is the biggest challenge. Thanks for sharing.

looks good

I've got the hammocks, too. They're great for tossing the small stuff that would fly all over the cabin otherwise. I really like the interior. I need to redo mine, and I like the look of the material you used. I've got my vhf and stereo aft of the back rest on the stbd side. The vhf is a little inconvenient, but it's out of the way.

Depth Finder

The depth finder is mounted on an arm that swings around. When in use it is swung out so you can see it from the helm. It is a very cool design that the previous owner created. There is a wooden bracket with rounded edges. On the bottom of the bracket a 1/2 moon was put into the wood that was the size of the width of the aluminum arm. A hole was drilled into the aluminum arm and a bolt runs through the wooden bracket and through the hole in the one end of the arm (there is also a spring there to keep the arm in place). The depth finder is attached to the arm. To move the depth finder you lift lightly up on the arm, agains the spring, and swing it around until it spins 180 degrees and drops back into the groove in the wood part of the bracket. It is a pretty neat idea that the last owner must have created. I never met the last owner, but he was a bit of a tinker and he had brilliant ideas (if you check out the past posts on my hatchboards you will know what i mean). I hope that this helps explain some about the depth finder.
