We are frustrated trying to find easily accessible CNG replacements for our Hunter Passage, 1994, along the ICW from Rock Hall Md. to Key West. We would appreciate a list of ports where we can change or fill our CNG tanks and/or a web site or phone number of a central place which could give us this information. We are very pleased with the length of time we use the CNG as well as the safety factor. We also love our Hunter! It sure beats a condo! What a waterview we always have!

Ron, Up here when ever we switch our tanks for a fresh one of CHG the suppliers give us an updated list of where we can obtain this type of gas. its readily available in the Canadian Gulf Islands and the American San Juan islands in the state of Washington.Ask your next supplier for his list. tips and a tool?
If you go to a web site called www.safgas.com, you will find a list by state that is purported to serve the boating community with their CNG needs. I however am an inland boater, so am interested in the little "tool" described in the attached link. Wonder if anyone has any experiences with it??

We have fond that many muncipalities have CNG available for their gas powered vehicles (one example was Ft Pierce, FL - $10 to re-fill our cylinder). We live in CT and have three bottles that we re-fill at the begining of the season for $.60 each!( Yes, that's $.60!) at CT. Yankee Gas Co. It does require an adapter, which we had made up for about $30. Another source is http://afdcmap.nrel.gov/nrel/. They can provide you with a state by state list of sources (though, I suggest you call any that you might be interested in to make sure they still have it available.
