Living on a boat at your lot on PineIsland

I see a large number of people that own lots on Pine Island, Fla and just have a motor boat on a lift at the lot or in the water, sometimes it a sailboat aswell.
With the boat lifts they must have power to run the lift unless they bring a generator out
and hook that up to run it.
I saw one power boat there 40ft that a guy was living on it and maybe had generator for power. I wonder if they would run power to a lot just for your boat to dock there.
I wonder if anyone knows about what is allowed on these lots that people own.
They seem to be easy going on the zoning and let people put boats and docks on the lots
without ever building a home on it.

Don't know about Pine Island specially, but in Charlotte County several years ago there was feverish dock building due to a rumored threat to limit docks. It never happened but there a hundreds of lots that just have lifts or docks and no house.
