I have no idea what they are called. I need the rubber things that fills the holes securing the shrouds to the mast.Any one know what they are called and where I can get them? Cost? Thanks,Mike
They have been called T-plugs, Gibb T-plugs or Gibb plugs. There are different sizes. I got some at a marina parts room. If the marina deals with a fair number of sailboats they should stock them.
They are supposed to be hard to insert. Make sure you have the right size. I've used pulling wire grease (the stuff electricians use when pulling wire thorough conduit) for jobs like this.
Makes for good pulling compound on small jobs, when this electrician can't locate "wire pulling grease". Then there is hair conditioner...I'd tend to avoid soap for it is detergent and might compromise the rubber. What?Mark Majors/v <=> '86H23
