I have taken ownership of my 376 after two weeks on the slip having bottom redone, shaft re keyed and general tidy up.
Not having noticed it prior to purchase I now have a 1 degree list to port. I'm only running 1 house and 1 starter battery( port side) where there is provision for a further two house ( starboard side).
Could this be the reason for the list? Any other ideas?
BTW, I'm loving the Hunter, having raced some crazy things.

That's pretty much immeasurable.

If, howver, you have an issue with it, since it is your boat, here's what I posted just yesterday when someone asked a similar question (these things seem to come in groups:))

Once upon a time, someone suggested adding lead to eliminate a list on a certain type of boat.

My recommendation was to add BATTERIES!!! :):):)

A MUCH better use of lead.

Check a few things...
Where are your water, holding, and fuel tanks? Are they full or empty?
Do you have a lazarette with a bunch of junk in it?
etc..

You must have a place you can store a couple of 24's of beer on the starboard side?

Get the first mate to stand on the high side.
seriously, if this is bugging you then you need to sale (not sail) her right now. You are going to be driven CRAZY trying to trim the sails to 1 degree, get the batteries fully charged, keep the reefer fully stocked with beer.......... it is going to drive you CRAZY.
alternately you can look at this as an opportunity to "embrace the horror" and come to the realization that control is an illusion, put on your best Alfred E. Newman face and be happy.

Probably just the breeze on the mast or current against the dock lines

Tnxs Stu, Stan and Tom for your replies.
It was a legitimate question from a new Hunter owner.

My 2003 356 lists about 4 degrees to port, more when the fuel,is low (it's on starboard side) and holding tank is empty. My primary reason is because ii have a 5kw generator in my port lazzerette.

Have lived with it for 10"seasonss and you get used to it.

Tnxs Jerry, the previous owner did take his generator, which was in a port side lazzerette off. I can live with it, I was more interested in whether it was a common matter for the boat. Good sailing.
