Linings cleaning

Hello,

How do you clean the linings on your Hunters?
Our Hunter is from 1991, the linings are made of a material that grips as if it were a glove for washing dishes. So the sponges crumble on it and the rags get stuck, so it doesn't clean.
I am interested in your solutions!

I've used Soft Scrub with a soft brush on our 1991 lining. Does a good job removing mold and grime. The mild Clorox residue keeps mold at bay for a long period time.

Try mineral spirits on a soft cloth.

Spray carpet cleaner like "Resolve" used with a stiff brush. Let dry, vacuum off any residue.
Once every three years in Florida does it.

I can not think that this is how it was when it was new. My guess is that it is a vinal cover that is glued on and it is breaking down. If I am correct, you will have to scrape it off and install new lining.
