Line Twist

I have all new sheets and lines on the boat. Most are Ok. The jib sheet tends to twist when tacking. On occasion they will catch and I have to untwist them. It has been suggested that I put them in a net bag and run them through the washing machine a couple of times to eliminate this problem. Any Thoughts?

Washer would really make a mess of those sheets.. The lines probably have a manufacturing "set" to them which will come out with load and time.. the solution to the problem is to load 'em up often and load em as heavily as you are comfortable with.. In other words, sail a lot and they'll straighten themselves out with time. What brand and type of line are they??
