Has anyone added line tenders to the cockpit? Our combing wells are useless. They are drilled improperly so they just collect water and never drain on their own---not somewhere you want to store your lines to keep them out of the way. s/v Third Bird

HI LARRY & CAROL, DO YOU HAVE A ...

Dodger that uses standard SS tubing? If so I have a great idea for a line manager. I built one for my H28 to handle six lines. Then when we upgraded to our P42 I made the same system again only this one handles eight lines. Keeps them up off the coamings, easy to use, quick access and no holes to drill in the boat. Altogether it costs about $20 to $40 (depending on how many line hangers you need) to make yourself with stuff purchased from WM. If you send me your address I'll mail you a sketch of the system. Basically, it is a three inch wide by about twenty inch long by one half inch thick teak board secured to each side of the SS dodger tubing using SS "U" clamps. I used the black plastic hangers with three sixteenth inch elastic cord. There were a few bugs that I worked out, but after looking at other systems, I prefer this one. Of course this one only works with a dodger. I borrowed the idea from another seasoned sailor and improved on it, so it is time tested. Terry

Halyard Bags

Hi Larry & Carol, I bought a couple of halyard bags from HOW and put them on the front of the cockpit. They worked great. By the way, it you want to see any of the stuff I did on my boat, you had better stop by soon. It's on the market now. Steve
