I have a Beneteau 47.3 oceanis with a recent lightning strike (blew out the speed and depth transducers. Any other damage possible to the keel?? Some electronics are fried.
If it was a direct hit you should have the boat hauled and inspected. I went through this a few years ago. I also had the mast pulled and the wiring replaced. I got hit right on the masthead. Everything vapourized. You have to check everything, even my furled genny was burnt. Sometimes it fuses the sections of your furling foil. Sometimes it blows your rudder apart because of water turning to steam in it. Sometimes you get a lot of pin hole sized holes at or near the waterline. Sometimes the keelbolts get nearly melted through (this is what the CG told me as I was trying to make port) and the keel falls off later. No upside to being hit, just bad news. Sorry.
