We got it out, finally. After much difficulty (see Centerboard post). Even with three people pulling down it would not budge one inch. So.......(and you will cringe like I did). A line, 7/16 dyneema gold no stretch, was looped around the top of the centerboard and then tied to the bucket of a bobcat. The boat was on a lift AND had jack stands under it for safety. Then it was slowly pulled down by the bobcat. It finally dropped. No human(s) could have pulled so hard. If you enlarge the picture and look at the upper pin that holds the roller you will see a protrusion on the end of the pin. It also seems rather long. I suspect that that protrusion was preventing easy removal because it was tight against the centerboard trunk. My question is has anyone who has dropped their board noticed a similar pin?
Perhaps a flaw in the pin? There was no 3M 5200 on it anywhere underneath.
