Lifesling vs Lifesling 2

I want to add some safety equipment to my H240. I see several MOB products and, for the lake that I sail on, I think it makes sense to have a lifesling device on board. My question is, was anyone used these products? It seems like the only difference is 30 feet of rope. For some reason there is a $70 price difference. Has anyone mounted these on the stern rail?

Use Lifesling 2

I use the LS2 on my H260. It is a little smaller package than the LS1. I keep it in the cabin, out of the sun and thieves' hands when not sailing.Fair winds,Tom
