I am in the process of installing a lithium battery on my boat. My old house battery was installed under the aft berth. Does anybody know if it gets too hot there under power? Thanks for the time to answer me.
I will defer to the forum on whether your batteries get too hot under power. Does your aft berth have slotted vents for ventilation under the berth? My Hunter 386 AGM batteries were installed under the port settee with slotted side vents and now my Hunter 46 AGM house batteries and lead acid starter battery are installed under removable floor sections in the center of the boat without ventilation slots.
This article claims Lifepro4 bateries do not require ventilation BUT cautions you to consult with the manufacturer's data to determine appropriate ventilation requirements for the batteries being used.
