Quite a boring article I suppose, but here goes. While messing around on my boat in the boat yard yesterday, I managed to break the head off a lifeline stancheon post. Looks like a little tube (that the line runs through) welded on top of the post. It broke off at the weld while i was trying to feed the lifeline end (which turned out to have a tiny bend it it) through the post top. Now, I have to repair it, so my question is do you think a strong marine epoxy or a product like liquid weld would be sufficient to hold that in place? I am not a proficcient welder nor do I know any, so this would be the easiest method.Mind you, I do not have any small children on the boat ever and quite frankly, if I was going over, being an older boat with somewhat wobbly stancheon posts to begin with, the lifeline wouldn't hold me anyway. So my thought it is it mearly cosmetic with little functionality in my case. Thanks for your help. Any product recomendations are gladly accepted.
