I need to install netting and was wondering if anyone has posted pics of
their installation.

Of course, I am now trying to attach the bottom edge of the netting and
there are no features along the vega toe rail that helps.

If you don't have pics but have an interesting method, please also respond.

When I did this I ran a strong cord through the bottom of the netting - effectively a bolt rope - and tied it off where I could.

I also used the bolt rope method, but mounted a SS eye strap half way between the forward stanchion and the forestay that the bolt rope runs through. I tightly secured each end with a truckers hitch so that it would be tight. The upper stay serves as the upper bolt rope. I considered running a separate bolt rope for the top from the top of the forward stanchion to the pulpit, but have never needed the extra height. One reason to use a separate upper bolt rope is that the netting will not pull down on the upper lifeline. The netting is attached at either end with plastic cable ties. You could weave them in and out of the forward stanchion, but my lifelines will not pull through the stanchions. The cable ties are virtually invisible from any distance and I have received many compliments on the setup. The best part is that the sail doesn't blow overboard when we are waiting to set it.I could send pictures, but not sure that it will enlighten very much.

How did you mount this?
Is there a threat of leaks by driving screws into the toe rail?

If it isn't done correctly, it could leak. It's not difficult, just need to follow some SOP (bevel the holes, use butyl or another hi quality sealant, oversize the holes and fill with epoxy then re-drill). There is very little stress on the eye. I am not near the boat right now, but if you send me an email reminder and I will shoot a couple photos. J(dot)hunter9999(at)yahoo(dot)com. It is really simple, so don't expect much from a couple photos.
