When racing how many crew do you carry ??Where do you stow your life vests (PFD's) for the crew ??RD

We race a Hunter 356 with anywhere from 2 to 8 crew on the boat. PHRF rules dictate the maximum number you can carry based on length of boat. We carry our life jackets below when calm weather racing, but should be worn when conditions dictate. Good luck!!

Storage

We STORE our life vests in the wet locker in our 356. When on the boat we require those we can control to wear them and we always wear ours. In fact, we invested in 5 additional (beyond those required)inflatable life vests so that our guests would be more likely to feel comfortable and even honored to wear them (they think they are pretty cool.Dan Jonas (S/V Feije II)

Robert, what did you get for a rating(and what configuration?) how are you finishing?on topic, we use the sospenders inflatable belt pouches, encourage people to wear them, mandatory for deck crew ir if there's a sea. in heavy weather we go to full inflatibles with harnesses. the standard foam jackets are in the port aft cockpit locker just in case.Chuck WayneH356 WWW.Escape
