Hi all,

I know it’s a big ask, but does anyone know of a source or a fix for the big odd shaped windows on the 32s5? Ours are badly crazed and leaking.

They are very odd shaped and make 3 90° turns behind the grab rails and are quite thick.

Thanks!

G.

The windows are not Lexan, (lexan) is polycarbonate and would look like your current window within a few years, it scratches easy and yellows in the sun however is stronger. Your windows are acrylic (Plexiglass). If you could remove it without breaking it ,maybe using windshield remover wire, Take it to a plastic's fab shop. They put the new sheet under heaters then use your old window as a fourm then have a sunbrella cover made to protect it and it will look new for longer than the orginal

Have you tried contacting Beneteau?

@Mechone is correct, they are most likely acrylic (plexiglass). To bend the plexiglass, it needs to be heated properly and bent. Try Select Plastics for advice and replacements.

Or find a local shop that works in acrylics, take off the old one and have them fabricate a new one. Gonna be expensive, but might be cheaper than going to an OEM. I think you have options here. One more is while waiting put a coat of (maybe) clear lacquer to seal the checking/cracks until you find replacements.

I ordered from beneteau in 2002 and the photo you posted here was my boat with the new windows. It was a big job.
