The tinted Lexan used for the port lites and hatches is 18 years old and lightly scratched. Is there a way to sand/buff/polish it so it looks fairly good.
Small aircraft have plastic windshields which need to be keep as scratch-free as possible. Novus is one of the items that is frequently sold at the counter of Fixed Base Operators (FBOs)at general aviation (GA) airports (the small airports, not the ones with the heavies.GA airports are all over the place and surely there is one near where you live.I used this on my windshield but a recommendation would be to wash the plastic surface first and wipe very gently with a flood of water to remove any dust. Then use the plastic polish. The Novus web site is at http://www.noscratch.com/novus/
Flitz to the rescue! Ok, it won't be like new but you'll be amazed at the difference. I used it on my folks' hatches and ports - phwew! What a difference! 3M Marine Metal Polish works just fine too. The bonus is that they're easy to find and you can use it on the rest of the boat too, plus it'll work faster and easier than Brasso.LaDonna
