Hi All, I am getting a list ready for my winter projects (it hurts to write that). I would like to have the installer of my Lewmar concept one windlass walk the plank. They installed the motor so that the chain rolled over it every time the windlass was used. This has eroded the casing of the motor. (and was very well hidden up in the top of my anchor locker) I can order the motor (700W) but the cost of an OEM Lewmar is way out of line. $940.00 at Pyacht for the motor/gearbox (which is the only way it comes). I could buy a new Horizon for the same cost. Which is what I may do. I was wondering if anyone knows who makes the motors for Lewmar? I have been searching the web with out success. The part number is 68000527. Thanks George

Leroy Somer made mine

A French company but have a US agent. My 700w machine only needed a new brush set. These are not individual brushes due to their high rating so you need to buy the carrier disk complete with 4 brushes. This has been recently discussed - see archives.
