Which opening ports do I want to install on my H25? I am putting a Lewmar Ocean 60 hatch on it, ($530, ouch!) and I think it would look nice if I installed the matching aluminum-framed Lewmar openers all the way around. It also appears that the latches are flush on the inside of the Lewmars, so when they are closed, they won't bonk you in the back of the head the way the knobs do on the original Bomar/Gray openers. Are there any problems/disadvantages to Lewmar vs Beckson, other than the cost (half again more for Lewmar)? It appears that Lewmar number one's and number four's, and the Beckson 512's & 714's are correct for the H25. Anyone aware of installation problems with either? Why did Hunter go with the 2" long spigot Bomar/Gray openers, instead of the 1" spigot? Is there any reason for having them jut out so far from the outside of the cabin? I'm assuming it was just cheaper to leave them sticking out, rather than taking the time to cut them off flush.
