First off,it's a temporary course that's set up the day of the race. The races are called Beer can races, very informal, middle of the week races with beer passed out to the winners at the raftup after the race.As far as the climate I was wishing I was somewere else this weekend due to the five inches of rain we had.IT has been twentyfive years since I have sailed, but I have ten years of racing experiance on White Rock Lake in Dallas in Lone Star 13's and Corinthians.Suzi and I are allways looking for another excuse to go sailing,so come on down and we'll show you a race or just the bay, what ever sounds good to you. -Carl & Suzi-

Wednesday night races

Carl, Those Wednesday night races you've been making are put on by the Hillsboro Inlet Sailing Club. We run 30 races each year, including a spring series consisting of 8 races, a fall series consisting of 10. The Beer Can series runs for 12 weeks in the summer. Our club has many more fun activities including over night raft ups, sailing socials and dinner dances. Oh, and I almost forgot, all of our races are followed by after race parties. Beer Can after race parties are in the form of a raft up following the race. You'd be doing yourself a big favor by joining the club. We'd be happy to have you. Incidently, those big money boats, E-Ticket and Contrails will be very difficult to beat, but since we use an adjustable rating scoring system, every boat has a chance to win, if they come out and sail on a regular basis.
