I had my new H240 for almost a year and I would like to pass on some lessons learned.First.. Know your dealer. I bought my boat from a dealer whose name I received on a brochure from Hunter. The dealer worked real hard to sell the boat but was new to sailboats and really could not answer alot of questions or even rig the boat when asked. Second... Ask for help. I did the rigging myself and had no problems until it came to putting the halyards into the mast. For some reason, there has been several design changes on the mast. Mine is a Charlston Spar and rigs up like a H260. Once I talked to Hunter support and Charleston Spar, the rigging went together fairly easy except came up with some missing parts on the mast strut. Working through the dealer, and Hunter it took about 2 weeks to get the parts in. Third... I was glad Hunter stands by their boats. The first time we raised the mast, the bracket pulled out of the boat on the mast raising pole. After talking to Hunter support they help me arranged to have the boat put in a local shop, fiberglass repaired and a new bracket was mounted on the mast. No problems since then. All new boats have teething problems, I appreciate mine simply because of what I went through to get to the water.Davids/v Devine Spark
