The decal on my vessel says "O'day 23", but it measures 28'4" bow to stern. Does anyone know why O'Day under sized their Model name? Bill

The specifications page on this web site state the length of the 23 at just under 23 feet. Maybe the guy that sold it to you put a "23" decal on it to snooker you into buying it.

Is it possible the 3 on the sticker is just a worn out or faded 8? Or were you actually told it was a 23? I wish my 22 measured 27! Alan

Thanks Allen. Funny, I quickly bought the O'day (for $1500)in 5 minutes after seeing that it was unexpectedly spacious for a 23 footer! Took me a few days to get out the tape and find it was 28' overall. It was advertised as an O'day 23. Guess I need to break off the "23" from the decal. Have added GPS, VHF, and a portable alternator. Nice weekender! Bill

Sorry Alan, I re-measured and got 276 inches, also found the vessel ID to be 1970 model 24751.

It's still a good deal. I have an Oday 25 and there is a 23 on my dock. They are sturdy boats, and with the price you paid, you can continue the upgrades and still come out on top if you decide to sell later. Take Care Alan
