Legend Series Plastic Laminate

Would like to find out what plastic laminate was used on the Legend series boats from 1990-94. The off white laminate under all the cushions as well as in the aft cockpit lockers on my 33.5. I'm guessing that the same laminate was used on all the legend series boats. I have replaced the plywood on one of the settee access ports to the holding tank as well as both the access panels in the aft cockpit lockers. At some point in the near future I'm going to need to replace all of the wood in the aft port locker ( changing out the fuel tank) and would like to be able to duplicate the existing laminate.

Are you referring to the final coating? That would be gel coat. There is a gel coat color chart in the resource section of HunterOwners.com.

Or are you asking what resin type was used to lay up the fiberglass cloth?

Regardless of what resin was originally used, I'd recommend epoxy since you can only count on mechanical bonding now. The old resin has long ago cured and there is no chance of chemical bonding at this point.

I think is formica, you could try taking one of the covers to Home Depot, Lowe's or a kitchen design place where they have formica swatches and matching the color. I replaced the starboard aft locker plywood floor on my 1995 35.5 legend. It rotted because the cockpit shower connections had a leak. I ended up replacing the floor with marine plywood painted with marine (beige) paint. It matched pretty well and I think it protects it just as well.
