I have an '87 Legend 37 and like all things older, they break and need to be replaced or repaired. My current problem is the ice box drain. It has cracked and needs to be replaced. From the drain in the bottom of the cooler to the bilge, the hose runs under the hull liner. Then into the overboard "wet box" where it's dedicated bilge pump is. I've taken up the floor board but the only place I can get to the hose is in the bilge. The front and sides of the ice box are solid. Does anyone have a solution? I don't want to cut into the hull liner and I'm apprehensive about cutting into the side of the cooler. Plugging the drain in the cooler would work except after a warm weekend I'd but bailing about 5 bags of ice water and whatever else leaked into the slurry.
