I want to add on to the length of my boom.... we have concluded that adding to the boom will be more cost effective than re-cutting the sail, as the sail foot is a couple of inches too long to use the out haul properly.
so i will need a short piece of LeFiell L-104 extrusion to weld on to to the goose neck end of my existing boom.
does anyone know of a "used sailboat mast" yard that may have what im looking for? thanks

Why don't you contact LeFiell. I believe that they are located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will need a sleeve and the extra piece of boom.

Have you considered a used sail? Probably the cheapest way to go.

the sail i have is new.... it came with the boat. both main sails were cut for the original mast and boom, and would be fine if I was using the bolt rope up the mast, but by adding slugs and shackles it increased the foot length by a couple of inches, which puts the outhaul almost to full extended position...
when the mast and boom were replaced (before I purchased it), I suspect it was overlooked that slugs may be added someday and it seems to have been cut to the same length as the original boom...

I can do any necessary work once i find the extrusion.... and I have called LeFiell, but have not heard back from them....

but I am also looking into either purchasing or making an offset outhaul connection adaptor, so the sail can pin off to it aft of the outhaul car, rather than directly above it.
this would be an easier, simpler and better option if it doesnt put too much of a lifting effect at the rear of the outhaul car and try to peel it out of the track.
