I have recently replaced my inset Port / Starboard navigation lights (bow) with LED Bow Pulpit mounted type. I was thinking of removing the existing inset lights with LED docking lights. Without getting down to the boat, is there anyone who may have a resource as to the opening size of those nav. lights (inset type, circa 1982). Thanks for any answer or direction you can offer up.

Got it! I spoke with defender and asked for the dimensions of the their LED docking lights and they directed me to the manufacture. After speaking with them, they sent me the install template in a PDF. Downloaded, printed and took it to the boat and discovered that I had 2 options. Either the LED ($259.00) or the halogen ($128.00), although it has been my goal to this point to replace everything with LED (everything on my boat now is LED) I am having a hard time with this one and able to legitimize the halogen by telling myself, if and when I use these lights I will be under power and arriving at my destination. At first glance these lights appear to actually fit right into the existing inset holes that the port & starboard lights occupy now. I thought I would share because I know a lot of people have made the upgrade from hull mounted nav lights to bow rail lights and it's something semi-usefull to do with the old cut outs. Here's the picture of the docking lights.
