Hi Peggie, How reliable is the Lectrasan system. I've told that it doesn't hold up well if it is not used very frequently, but I wonder if this is true. Also, what is its power consumption? Thanks and regards. George PS Your book is great!
We installed an Electrasan in our Cal 46 in Jan. 1996 and have had no problems. It was installed according to the instructions provided. We live aboard, so it is used daily. During the treatment cycle it uses about 40 amps for 1 1/2 minut3es. Based on our experience, we heartily recommend the Electrasan. And it doesn't matter if it sits unused, provided instructions for preparing it to sit for longer than a week or two are followed.
