Hi all, Looking at a Houseboat that is currently using a LectraSan. How do I I.D. this unit and what do I need to look for/check to make sure it's operating as it should? Any warnings? I tried to "search" for the info here, but came up with zero matches. Thanks, Ed

Here ya go; http://www.raritaneng.com/products/waste_treatment/index.html I'm not sure about old models or things to lookout for. Just know I love mine.

If it's working...

there should be NO odor, inside the boat or from the discharge. The treatment cycle should last 2.5 minutes...only the mixer and macerator motors run for the first 30 seconds, the electrodes then kick in. Although the it should be quieter during the first 30 seconds, the noise level should only go up very slightly while the electrodes are running. I'm not sure what you mean by "how do you ID it?" If it's there, you'll see components that look like the ones at the link to the Raritan (who mfrs the Lectra/San) site. The only question is likely to be the age of the unit..what's on the website is only the current MC version...the treatment unit will look the same for all the earlier versions...it's the controllers that are different. If what's on the boat doesn't match what's on the website--or if you have additional questions that aren't answered in the manual--contact Vic Willman at Raritan (800-352-5630 x 6)...he'll be able to tell you exactly which version it is and answer all other questions about it. If it's installed correctly and working properly, you'll LOVE it!
