Sad to say that after 16 years owning MERLIN, I just placed an ad here for her. I still think that the 37 Cutter is the best buy out there but my needs have changed. Take a look at the pics in the ad.
Thanks

Noticed your boat name is on transom. We are planning on moving ours to transom. Is yours painted on? Noticed part of one letter is on backstay chainplate. I would plan on putting an acrylic name and one whole letter would be over the chainplate since the name is 7 letters.

Very sad to see you leaving Dan. Especially given the reason that you cited. You have Merlin very underpriced given the quantity and quality of new equipment. But I understand. She's going to make a sailor very happy. Best to you.

When you find a new owner, don't forget to mention (i.e. insist) that he/she must join this forum for advice and comradery. We can't have our ranks thinning out!

Re: Boat Name on Transom

My name is a decal, part of which is over the chainplate. It worked out well and has been like that for as long as I have owned her.

Thanks Ed. I decided to price her very reasonably on here to give the other Cherubini lovers out there first shot. If she does not sell this fall, the broker will list her at a higher price in the spring. I dont even want to add up what I spent on equipment much less the labor.
Surprisingly for those that think the 37C is slow, I have won my divison two years in a row and placed second overall this year racing against lighter newer boats of similar size. And not by handicap either. We were first to finish in our division in 11 out of 17 races over those two years.

Kinda' glad I own a shoal draft. Not inclined to go racing. Enough trouble and expense with my old C-22 and the Highlander. Did you race it as a sloop like Blaise? Big headsail?
