28' Oday.
After returning to the water after a winter on the hard,
tried to unfurl the jib and it would not budge.
3 days of trying to find out why led, to the jib sail also not being able to come down beside not furling !
Great teaching experience !
and surely pulled me out of my comfort zone. learned:
1. grease both top and bottom bearings with Mac-lube
2. BE SURE the bottom of the sail is attached properly so that the sail can ride all the way up to the top. that way the halyard does not bind.
3. Don't trust the boat yard knowing this if/when they re-install the sails!
so simple, so hard to learn when inexperienced. .
Works great now.
