Hey folks,
I just taked with the SanFransico Rescue Center (referred by the
Seattle Ctr) to give them Laura's phone #. They already have it.
They will send some air rescue out today abit off shore to
look for Chuck and Laura. I'm not sure just how extensive this
search will be at this point, but they are definately considering
them overdue at this date.
As stated, they have been in contact with the family.
Should any news be made, they will broadcast a statement
at that time.

Thanks for letting us know! Too bad about the rigging, but I'm glad
all three are OK. We just came home from Port Angeles yesterday. They
have a good marina with good haul-out facilites at Boat Haven, at the
west end of Port Angeles harbor.

If there is any way I can be of assistance, I'm only a 3 hour sail
away (from Pedder Bay on Vancouver Island). My phone number is 250-

Well, that is nice to hear.
I'm sure everyone on the usergroup has been on edge lately.
I know it's been on my mind.

Hip Hip Hurray! Thank goodness they had the foresight and good sense to have sailed on a VEGA! This should definitely be a good story.

Would somebody contact the resort at Lopez Island and let them
know Chuck and Laura are ok? I know the CG spoke with them. They
would want to know. Craig

Mitzi Johnson has contacted the Lopez Island Resort. They were
relieved to hear the Roses are OK, as they had heard repeated Coast
Guard broadcasts on VHF 16.

Meanwhile, my friend in Port Angeles is checking the docks and will
let me know when they arrive!
