I have an 2001 - H260... a nice sailing boat... it leaks! not sea water. but rain water. I've sealed the seam in the cockpit but it didn't help. I can't find any cracks, holes or splits. But after a hard rain, I have water in my little bilge. Anyone else have this problem in the past?

A trick to find leaks is to use a shop vac to pressurize the boat and spray the surface with a soapy mix and determine where the leak is by the bubbles. The idea is to seal all airways and vents. Use cardboard or scrap plywood to make a companionway batten and make a hole for the hose and tape off to seal. Set the vac on blow and start spraying. A leafblower would likely work too. Like on roofs, water can travel a long way from the leak source, so this method can help locate hard-to-find ones. Good luck!

Fine weather and a hose helped me just a few days ago. Spray smal parts of the boat at one time and se if wather comes in. You have to be a little patient but you will find the leak in the end. See also a tread in the big boats forum.
