I am finding leaks in the v-birth coming down the sidewalls. I haven't been able to identify the source but I am guessing that it is coming in behind the rubrail. Does anyone have suggestions to identify and/or fix this? Thanks, JimC

use duct tape to isolate the suspected area before you fix it. Probly a life stanchion. Good luck

V-berth leaks

While I have an H31 I had leak problem(s)in the v-berth. I found the drain on my chain locker was not sealed correctly. This let water run down the outside of hose attatched to a thru-hull. I took the the drain out and reseated it using 3m 5200...no more leak. The next leak came from water intake on deck thru to a v-berth mounted water tank. I removed the water intake and reseated it using a caulk and...no more leak! Hope this helps.

Duct tape?

Inranch, maybe you can explain to me how to use the tape to pinpoint the leaks. I am having a ongoing battle with them in my boat (Hun27) and ANY help in that department is very much appreciated.. Although I got 99% of them plugged now, some took the skills of a detective to figure out... Thanks!!! Aldo alozano@monmouth.com
