Leaks in the cabin

This past winter and spring i've had alot of water come into my H23 cabin. I'm talking 6 to 10 inches in the bottom. I'm sure its fresh (not salt) water and there's not sign of wetness on the cabin wall interiors. I only visit the boat periodically - especially duing the winter, so i can't see what's happening during a rain storm. Any ideas of places i should check for leaks?

Start in the cockpit

that's where I found the "unfindable" leak. It was the cockpit drain hose leaking into the aft area of the hull and flowing into the bilges. After replacing the plated zinc drains with stainless steel THAT leak was history. Still tracking a new one, though! Jerry

Leaks in Cabin

Actually, I have a H23. I'm not sure why it listed as a 240. And I will look at the cockpit drain hose. Thanks

Anchor Locker Drain Hose

Is another frequent offender on this boat. Voice of experience speaking. Leaks through the companionway slider are also common. With the volume you are talking about, the drain hoses are likely sources,

Another Question

What size/type and source of drain hose should i replace the cockpit drain hose with? I'd like to buy the replacement before I take old one off. Thanks
