The Packing around my shaft is leaking around a drop a second,if i need to fix or change ? Help

Not sure when it was last repacked or what stuffing box type you have, both of which bear on the proper answer (so will assume it isn't plastic, old or worn) -
It should drip a bit when spinning assuming it is the typical flax packing. If it is leaking at that rate when not spinning, back off the lock nut and tighten a 1/4 to 1/2 turn to see if that slows/stops the leak. If not, probably time top repack.
