Leaking holding tank

The holding tank on my 1984 Cherubini H27 has developed a small leak. It appears to be near the outlet port.

If I wanted to purchase and install a new tank - how do I remove the old one?

Alternatively - is there some type of patch material (eg epoxy) that I could use to stop the leak?

The base of my head cracked along a seam last winter and I used 3M 4200 to reseal it. I have a new head ready to put in, but at this point I'm sort of keeping the old one in there as a science experiment just to see how long it will go. I expect the adhesive will do better on plastic than epoxy would -- 4200 or 5200 should work. Just be careful and don't get it on anything else!
