I have developed a leak under the port genoa track. One of the holes for an attaching bolt is leaking water into the cabin. I tried to loosen the nut off of the bolt underneath the deck, but the nut seems rusted on. None of the outside bolts will turn with a screwdriver. All the nuts underneath look rusty. Weren't they supposed to be SS? Any suggestions on how to free the bolt and nut so I can reseal it? Many thanks.

Rose, You can try tightening just a little bit first then turn to loosen. Sometimes this helps to break the bond. You could also soak the nuts down with "PB Rustblaster", available at NAPA or such stores. This stuff is incredible. Wait 15-20 minutes after soaking before trying to remove the nuts. Also you could try an impact screwdriver that you strike with a hammer. Good luck.

use a cut-off whell on a drill motor or dremmel tool and cut the nut and screw off. punch the screw head out from the bottom. replace both screw and nut.
