The valve that houses my diesel furnace line (and tube that goes to the bottom of the plastic gas tank) was leaking badly-filled the bilge. It is compression type fitting that uses a rubber gasket that is compressed by a brass nut. I had the rubber gasket replaced and another added inside the tank which has stopped the leak. But I would like a better solution so I'm not worrying about diesel in the bilge every time I fill up. Any suggestions for a better setup would be appreciated.
