We have a full custom cover on our 1985 Cat 30 (metal frame with metal legs). Last winter, i noticed water on the floor, right by the mast compression pole. I also observed water seeping right out of the wooden compression post on the very top during a heavy rain. Removed mast in the spring, nothing significant, but cleared the 2 openings for water drains (and made them a bit bigger), also put in a PVC conduit (extending about 3" from the base) with butyl, ran all of the wiring through it and sealed the top, sealed all of the crews and the mast boot... there is no way that the water can get through there. Everything was nice and dry until about a month ago. Seeing small puddle in the same place. Put paper towels all around, to see if the water is coming from other places... nope. Not a lot of water, just enough to make me crazy and ruin the carpeting. Running out of ideas...?
