Leak in fuel tank - Beneteau Oceanis 361

Any advice on this....After being away for a few weeks, I checked on the boat to find approx one litre of fuel under the engine and around the stern gland area. I could not find a leak from any hose or fittings on the engine and it looked like it was coming from the 75 plastic fuel tank. I have removed the fuel and now have to remove the tank, which does not look easy.

Any tips anyone? I presume that once I have the tank out and have it clean, and full of water, that I can then use a plastic welder to repair any crack.
I did have a water tank crack three years ago and was able to fix it this way.

Hey, its been a fwe months since your post but I'm thinking about removing the tank both to try to find a fresh water leak and to clean it, mostly its the second as it looks easier to remove than doing a fuel polish deal. Did you end up removing it and if so was hard was it?
