Leak in freezer box

This winter I was defrosting my freezer box on my Hunter 34 and did the usual stupid thing. I decided to speed things up and chip away the frost build-up with a metal spatula and put a small pinhole leak in one of the channels. Within about two or three minutes I was able to crimp the channel and stop the leak. The system appears to be working fine since. My question is in regards to a permanent fix. Should I concern myself with any additional repairs since the leak has stopped? Jerry

Jerry, If it begins to leak again, time for a new evaporator. Do not order a new style VD evaporator. It will not connect to your condensing unit. The couplings have changed several times over the years. Contact our Customer Service dept. (860-664-4911) and tell them the size (large 12hx15wx6d, small (11hx10wx6d), horizontal or vertical, and what size wrenches are required to tighten the couplings. They'll tell you the correct part number to order.
