I have a leak in the starboard side of my forward V-berth up along the roof next to the wall. For now we stuff it with a towel to catch the water but it has rotted the shelf on that side of the boat. We just bought this boat last July and the previous owners had tried to have this fixed but nothing worked. My husband is going to remove all the bolts and reseed them. Does anyone have any ideas. I also posted this on the Hunter forum page. Thanks, Susan

Leak in forward v-berth

Check the base of the stanchions and thier support rods. I stopped a leak on our 37' this way.

In the last couple weeks there has been several posts about leaks in the forward cabin. Recommend checking "Leak in forward V berth along starboard wall Submitted by Susan Charbonneau of Baltimore, MD on 01/29 at 06:44AM regarding Hunter" as this post has a number of responses that might help.

Hatch leaks

I found most of my leaks up forward were coming from the forward hatch and running down the liner. Second area were the port lights. If you have an anchor locker on deck, it can leak too.

Forward leak.

I asked this same Question a week ago and a great answer came back as the bolt latch thru deck molding opening on the the forward anchor locker. check recent listings
