Hello. I just got a 1974 Cal 2-29 which I love. I live in Washington where it rains a LOT. I started noticing my throw rug had a wet corner after rainstorms. Recently I was away for a few days and came back to soaked settee cushions as well as the rug. Long story short I traced the leak to the area where the deck stepped mast sits. The water doesn't appear to be coming down the wiring, but rather through the deck around the post that supports the mast. The mast was off when I bought the boat, and I am concerned that the seal around the tabernacle is bad. Has anybody had trouble with this? How did you fix it? Must I remove the mast to repair it?
