Leak from above the rudder shaft coupling

Help!!! I have a leak from the coupling above the rubber hose on the rudder shaft. It only leaks when under power. I am thinking because the stern is lower in the water when under power. Has anyone had this problem before? If so how did you correct the problem? Thank You!

Try this....

I found that tightening the bolts on the rudder stuffing box helped with this problem on my boat. If your boat has an Edson system, there should be a flange surrounding the rudder post below the rubber with three bolts (see the link for a picture of what I'm talking about). Tightening these down might help.
