Leak behind Nav Station

I've got a water leak from the rain that is coming out from under and behind the Nav station.I cant tell where it is coming in at.Has anybody else with a 28 had this problem,and if so where did you find the problem? I cant see where it could be coming from unless it is from the Teak handrail outside but the caulk looks good.Thanksfor anyones help.

Believe it or not, check chainplates

We found a leak at a starboard chainplate on our 1978 27', that allowed rainwater to come into the cabin and (also) run all the way back to the icebox area. Our nav station is at the same location on the port side. Hope this helps!

Could be coming in from the jib block rail too!

If possible try wetting the chainplate area only and sheck for leaks. Then wet the jib block rail and check for leaks. Then re-caulk the leaky things.Jim, DownTime H28
