We have a stbd list and are considering having beneteau lead ballast installed to correct this. I'm sure that I once saw a post with photos on this site. Can anyone help? Has anyone has this installed? Thanks.

Stow wine on port and toilet paper on stdb??

373. We have wind generator on pole to stbd and extra battery in stbd cockpit locker as well as davits. If we had known about natural stdb list (due to more tankage and heavy bathroom unit on stbd) we would have had dealer put extra weight on port side! As it is dealer put large hunk of chain behind freezer unit but still has marked list. Interested to know if others have lots of chain and are not aware of it - go far back in port aft seat back and feel down behind freezer.

393 port list, 423 star list

Every one of these boats seems to have a list. I know on the 393's some have put lead in. I would rather carry the heavy stuff on the light side. I have my wind generator and dink motor on the star side and a few jugs on the rail (small fuel tank). Why would you want to put useless lead in?

chain is the answer

I used 1/2" chain. Bought a bunch of "cutoffs" from a chain wholesaler at very cheap price. Tucked them in on port sides of fuel tank and forward water tank. also under dining table benches on port side. works great. you can get it into odd shaped nooks and crannies, and you can cut off or add small sections of link to get just the right balance. hope this helps!
