Lazy Jack Systems

I am thinking of getting a lazy jack system but would like to know if they are really worth it. Do they get hung up a lot on the sail when raising and lowering, or are they pretty smooth? Also, are they pretty easy to take off when trailing, or can you trailer with them attached to the mast? Thanks for the help

Yes, they are worth it. I made mine using the basic ideas for "Steal these Lazyjacks" from Bob Cassel's page. A little modification. I attached pully's bought at a hardware store to the mast where the shrouds attach. DO IT!!
